Honey Juice Supports Amy's PKD Fight!

Our family is affected by Polycystic Kidney Disease.  A common but relatively unknown genetic disorder that is one of the leading causes of hereditary death.  It affects 12.5 million people worldwide.  

My wife Amy has it.  When her mother died from it, being musicians, we put together a small fest Called Honey Fest  A PKD Charity Event with our friends' bands and gave the proceeds to the PKD Foundation.  3 years in a row we funded organized and performed as the fest grew to over a 1000 people.  Each year we gave all of the money to the PKD Foundation in hopes to help find a cure and raise awareness.  We never made it about us, only to raise awareness and celebrate our lives together.

Now we need help ourselves.  All of Amys organs are polycystic.  Her liver especially is about 5x the size of a normal liver.  
In July we are going to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minesota to have 80% of her liver removed.  As you can imagine this is not an easy procedure. Not only is it scary, its also expensive.  We feel funny asking for donations, but at the same time we have and will continue our fundrasing efforts solely for other charities.  We have a huge fest planned for 2015, and are putting on a show June 13.  We dont sit on our hands and mope.  WE FIGHT.

The plane tickets alone are thousands of dollars, the hotel, the copays, the lost work, not to mention the time away from our young son all takes its toll.  We are asking for your help.  

We promise to use only whats necesary for the bills related to the procedure, then turn the rest over to fund Honey Fest 2015, and turn that into an even bigger donation to help the greater good.
