Jason Bauer Fundraiser

Donation protected
Jason Bauer, brother of TMBimages photographer Todd Bauer and uncle of TwinSix employee and rider Josh Bauer has been battling Colo-Rectal Cancer since May 2014. His doctors thought the cancer was completely removed in October 2014, but it reoccurred in August 2015. He hasn't caught a break through 16 rounds of chemotherapy, 45 radiation treatments, 7 surgeries and a permanent colostomy. Unfortunately, the last surgery in February 2016 did not provide the news the Bauer family was hoping for. The tumor in Jason's pelvis is too invasive to be completely removed. The Bauer's have been informed that patients with this type of cancer have a life expectancy of two to three years.

Jason is not just a 43 year old guy with cancer. He's a son, brother, husband, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin and co-worker. He's a friend to many. Jason is an avid recreational cyclist, skateboarder and bass player in a band called Antiverse. He and his wife Amanda love to travel and spend time with family and friends. He has met each challenge in the last two years with grit and fearless determination.

Larry & Dawn Sauber and the Lakeville-Millville-Lakeville (LML) Gravel Race on March 26, 2016 have chosen Jason to be the receipient of their race fundraising efforts. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to the Saubers for this act of kindness and generosity.

We set up this GoFundMe for Jason to tie into the LML fundraising as an opportunity to accept contributions for Jason outside of the race.

Your donation at either the race and/or through this GoFundMe will help Jason & Mandi with expenses as they transition to this "new normal" with an uncertain future. Palliative chemotherapy to slow down the cancer's growth is on the agenda as soon as Jason recuperates from his latest surgery. His return to work is unknown.

If you are interested in the LML Race please register as soon as possible by emailing Larry Sauber through the LML website.

More information about the race can be found here: http://lakeville-milltown-lakeville.blogspot.com/

From the bottom of our hearts the Bauer Family thanks you for thinking of Jason and for your contribution.
