My journey to becoming a nurse has been a life long passion of mine. Since I was 14, I fell in love with nursing. The joy of caring for others in their time of need has been a desire of mine since I was young. This desire truly makes up who I am.
I have started with the basics of becoming a nursing assistant. Later I became a Licensed Practical Nurse; now, I am currently in the Bachelor of Science Nursing program at Rasmussen College in Ocala, Fl, with three terms left before I obtain my degree. I have been on either the Honor Roll, President's List or Dean's list every quarter. My classmates lean on my experiences and have become my extended family. Asking for help is a humbling experience, and I have learned that asking for help can be one of the bravest things you can do. I am not one who likes asking for help, but I have really thought and prayed on it and believe that not asking for help would lead to the greatest mistake I can make, not finishing nursing school.
So I am humbly asking for any help that anyone can provide. I am reaching out to family, friends, and my community to help me continue my journey. I only have 9 months left and my goal is to raise enough money to cover the quarter I am in and the upcoming final 3 quarters. The cost of each quarter is $6,000 dollars, and I just do not have the ability to pay for this on my own. I so badly want to finish but I cannot move forward without paying these classes and this is my only hurdle. If you are willing to donate I would use the money for tuition costs only.
