Lauren Medical Fund

Some of you know, but some of you may not. My daughter, Lauren, has been battling Late Stage Neurologic Lyme Disease and several of the coinfections that sometimes go along with Lyme for most of her life. Although she was not diagnosed until well into her late 20s. She has been through countless treatments and procedures; some of which have worked and some that have not. Lauren has struggled and fought all with a smile on her face. Lauren is someone who would rather put you first. She would rather take care of her friends, her family, even acquaintances if she senses they are in trouble before she puts in a thought about how it may affect her. She has a strong passion for helping others and becomes extremely frustrated that she is unable to help like she wants right now. Lauren HATES to ask for help, which is why I am going to ask for her. It's time for us to step up and help her where she has helped so many of us before. 
Lauren had done some very intense treatments and was starting to show some signs of getting better. She had hope for the first time in many many years. Then, she suddenly became ill again the beginning of 2019. Her body wasn't responding and she was starting to slip back down some. By an absolute miracle, she was blessed with a child. During her pregnancy, she had a major relapse in her health. In December, she delivered a happy and health baby girl. We are so grateful and blessed to have this miracle child in our lives. However, it has taken a huge toll on Lauren and her health journey. Most days she is unable to function. She has symptoms that range across all of her systems. But her main symptoms are neurological. There are days she is unable to talk or walk. There are days she loses vision or feeling in limbs. She is in constant extreme, debilitating pain. Lauren has inflammation in all of her joints, muscles and organs.  She has constant headaches and nausea. She struggles to keep food and water in. And she retains most of the fluids she does. Since the baby she has developed lymphedema which has caused major swelling in her abdomen and legs. This has caused her to tear tendons in her leg and cause disc problems in her back. Lauren suffers from hormone problems, thyroid problems, GI issues, respiratory problems, cardiac issues and so much more. The damage these diseases have caused in her body is widespread. She needs major and immediate help. 
Because of all that she deals with physically, she has begun to lose hope. She is very tired of this fight. 

By what I feel is a God set up blessing, Lauren has been introduced to a group of doctors who have an all inclusive testing and treatment program. They do extensive and intense testing to evaluate how to support the full body and design a program specific to each person. This is something that we have been looking for years for. And here it is!!! They opened their clinic here outside of Nashville in March! Talk about timing! And they offered Lauren an opening starting next week. Lauren will go and be in their office every day for 2 weeks. She will have treatments that we have looked for around here for years! This is a very very exciting chance. But as with everything with Lyme disease, they can not file insurance. Everything has to be out off pocket and is needed upfront. Because I feel like this is a God sent option for Lauren, I am hoping that we can help her see this through. She needs 10,000 to be able to start Monday. And the rest to do the follow up either a month or 2 months later. (Depending on what the doctor's decide once she gets in to the program)

Any that you can do to help, is huge! Even if it is just send love and prayers and hope to her. She is feeling rather hopeless at the moment.
