Operation "Get Anna Gail to Athens"

Hello friends!

The goal of this account is to raise relocation funds for our friend, Anna Gail, who has accepted a position with Ohio University's Libraries.

This is an amazing opportunity for her, and is a HUGE stepping stone onto her choosen career path in Library Science.  We all know and love Anna, and she has gifted all of us with her friendship over the years.

I admire Anna so much.  For her intelligence, her loyality, her humor, and her warmth, but most of all for her tenaciousness.  She's never given up on her dreams, and she is ALWAYS searching for ways to achieve them.

As friends of Anna's, you all know this, just as most of you know her circumstances too.  So it would make sense that you all know how practical our Anna is.  She knows that sometimes, it takes more than dreams and personal efforts to set us on our path.  She hasn't gotten to where she wants to be yet, but it's not for lack of effort on AG's part.  She's always devoted all of her energy into her passions and towards accomplishing her goals. 

She contemplated declining this position, this wonderful opportunity, because of the practicalities.  She wonders if the job is even feasable, due to the fact that her future employer wants her to start a month eariler than expected and is unable to cover the costs of relocation and her current lack of savings.  Relocation expensives, rightly so, are a HUGE obsticle for Anna right now.  She needs money for housing (both the deposit and most likely the first and possibly last month's rent), utilities, food, and most likely, something to haul her belongings in.

She took a major leap of faith, and accepted the university's offer in the hopes that the universe would provide the answer for her need.  That took amazing courage on her part.  Jumping into the unknown is a difficult thing, something that few people in her position would risk.  I am so proud of her for doing this and I'm sure that you are as well.  I believe in the universe, and I believe in our Anna.  And I sincerely hope that you all, as her friends, do too.
