Kathleen D. Triebel Memorial Scholarship Fund

To know Kathy Triebel was to love her.  Kathy was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt,  teacher, listener and friend.   If you knew Kathy you would know that she dedicated her life to helping others.  That was her calling and what she did for nearly 57 years.  (Starting at the age of 16 at Cardinal Hayes home in Millbrook)  It was her passion to teach and love children.  Many of you came to know Kathy through one of her proudest accomplishments, Funshine Nursery School, in Red Hook.  She loved to teach and learn with the kids and families.  She would be there sun up to sun down many days, and if we couldn't find her there, we knew that she was making a craft project or snack run to Kingston for the next day.  For my brother and I, it was a normal occurrence to get a 10 pm phone call asking if we could pull hay wagon in a parade the following day, or cut up wood for a craft idea that she had.  She loved her family, friends, this community and the kids with all her heart and soul. 

      With that being said, it is our hope to carry on her long tradition of helping others.  We have created the Kathleen D. Triebel Memorial Scholarship Fund to keep her love and spirit alive by creating a fund to pick up where she left off in her remembrance.
