A plea for help for our son.

This is my son Christopher with his mom,  He dreamed of becoming a Ear Nose And Throat Doctor at a very  age. He had many problems with his ears at a very young age due to allergies we did not know about. His doctor for many years was Dr. Venterini which he just loved. Dr. Venterini was the one that inspired Chris to go into the medical field.  Chris always loved school, baseball, mountain climbing, extreme bike riding, motorcycles, skate boarding, and every other sport he could get involved in. We all climbed half dome in yosemite right before this happened to him. I can remember going to hundreds of baseball  games throughout his younger years. When Chris started High School he was planning on going out for the high school baseball team, but plans changed when he broke his arm snowboarding. So he went out for water polo after the healing was over. Was not quite the same but he loved this also and it sure got him in shape.  We have changed our entire life style to help Chris with this medical issues. This money will be used to receive treatment for my son Chris.                      He was diagnosed with Hashimotos Encepalopathy
About two years ago. He has had this disorder for over 8 years and we have been dealing with doctors for all these years trying to get one of them to figure out what was causing his issues, and not just giving him medication to treat the symptoms they were seeing. Chris has not talked in over 4 years due to this condition. We have spent all of our life savings, we have even borrowed and been given money from family in the past to help. Chris was a full time student and was planing on becoming a doctor before this all happened. He has been to multiple hospitals and we have paid for every test imaginable to try to help him. I decided to retire from my job early to become his care taker in 2008. This disorder affects about 2 people in every 100,000. Doctors do not know exactly how to treat it or what causes it and so we are hoping to take him to a facility out of state for some other kind of treatment. The Doctors at the facility we go to now want to try immune suppressant drugs which are very dangerous and have very serious side effects. If Chris could talk and wanted to try this avenue we would stand behind his decision, but without him having a say in this potentially deadly treatment we will not do this treatment and put his life in danger. Chris had insurance a few years ago to cover most of his treatments but the insurance company decided to cancel his policy saying it was a pre existing condition to which our doctor said it was not. $98,000 in hospital bills later we had no health coverage for him, which left him with a ton of bills. Chris is now 29 years old and i take care of him full time while my wife works a few more years, we have run out of money to help him and just use the income from retirement and my wifes job to help him and pay the massive bills we are left with.
I could go on for days on all the doctors and misdiagnosis we have seen and been given over the years by the so called experts, I have had to threaten to sue, get an attorney, even call the Citizens Commision on Human Rights, (CCHR) to get him out of hospitals and for them to stop giving him medications that were causing more problems for him. We are never going to give up on him and hope we can find a soulution to this horrible disorder he has been inflicted with, Doctors say ther is no cure but  he can get lead a normal healthy life if we can get it under control.
