For everyone that would like to help Erin Jacobs and Ben Chicoine during this time ( other than the amazing emotional support, prayers, and kind words that continue to come). Though they are prepared to take it on alone, many of us want to help offset expenses that no parent should ever endure and to continue support Erin and Ben's journey at this difficult time.
This is being done for Erin and Ben, not at their request, by caring friends and family that wish to do more to help. When I first approached Erin for permission to create a donation page her response was true to her character- "I'm not sure, everyone was so very generous with all the baby stuff, I do not want to burden anyone." It is for that very reason that this is being created, as Erin and Ben have always cared for everyone else and we know everyone wants to carry that compassion forward.

David Michael Chicoine was 7 lbs 14 oz of beautiful baby boy. His body was the most incredible 20 1/2 inches of love we have ever held. His thick, curly brown hair fell above his precious Chicoine eyes that complimented my nose in a way no one else's could. Without reason or understanding, we went into delivery knowing would never hear his coo, his laugh, his cry...his nine months with us were the most we would be blessed with physically and the rest of our lives would be spent spiritually bonded. Our family has endured the toughest day together yet. Without Ben, I would not have been able to nor continue to push through the physical and emotional pain that we feel. My love, my rock, my child's father. He coached me, so bravely, through the toughest day of my life. We are home now. Ben and I are healthy, safe and trying to find peace trusting the universe to show us answers. Grieving and healing won't be easy. Thank you, to our families, for being our biggest support & solid roots and stability. Thank you, to our friends, who have reached out, offering your bottomless peaceful hands. We cannot keep up with the inflow of messages and for that we apologize. But do know that we couldn't do this without your positive vibes and prayers & that we appreciate every single one of you more than you know. There is no rhyme. No reason. No words.
