My journey has definitely been an emotional one filled with so much gratitude, love, hope, and faith. Faced with two transplants
in less than a year frightens the heck out of me. While I do not
know the donor of my liver, I do know the donor of my kidney. It’s my niece, Lorie, the beautiful woman to my left. Lorie has not only helped me accept the situation but has also offered me
the gift of wellness. I can’t begin to express my thanks.
I love Lorie with all my heart, she is truly an amazing young
woman. Putting her at any risk is difficult to say the least but asking her to endure financial hardship to her and her family on top of it is too much. My family and I are raising money to cover costs not covered by insurance. Our goal is $10,000. These gifts are not tax deductible to you and will be used only to cover costs not covered by insurance – airfare, accommodations, and loss of income.
Our family sincerely appreciates any help you may be able to provide. All gifts will be strictly accounted for and a report will be provided each donor who gives their information. Any remaining balance will be donated to Transplant Team Arizona, Phoenix, AZ to help others in a similar situation. Thank you for any support you may be able to provide.
