On May 22nd we received the heartbreaking news that our mother, Meg Tworkowski, has been diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Endometrial cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the uterus. The treatment at this stage is a hysterectomy, which will take place on June 11th and we are very optimistic this surgery will remove all the cancer.
To make matters a little more complicated our mother just found out that she has an abscessed tooth which must be addressed prior to the hysterectomy; as an infection cannot be present while undergoing a major surgery. The solution to the infection is costly dental work to remove and then replace the tooth.
In an effort to ease our mother’s stress of being out of work for six weeks and the influx of medical and dental expenses, we would like to request your support. Our mother has shown unconditional love and support throughout our lives and we want to do the same for her during this difficult time by making this process as comfortable and stress-free as it possibly can. If you know our mother you know that she is selfless to a fault; she is not a person that would ever ask for help, which is why we feel the need to take this initiative. Any assistance, large or small, prayers, act of service or financial, is appreciated and means more to our family than we can express.
