Get Mom a PET Scan

The woman you see in that photo is our Mom, Jan. She has been diagnosed with cancer of the tongue/mouth and before they will begin her treatment of chemotherapy AND radiation (6 weeks of treatment, every day Monday through Friday), the oncologist says that she absolutely has to have a PET scan done. Problem is, Mom is on Medi-Cal and they are not approving her for the PET Scan thus far. So without that we are forced to sit here and wait and have her cancer potentially spread in the meantime. NOT OKAY.
The PET Scan she needs costs $1800 if we pay for it in cash. (This is after the 40% discount we were offered by the doctor there for "paying up front") We NEED to get this money raised so that our Mom can have this scan done and get her treatment started.
So here's the deal, we are trying to raise the $1800 this week. I know that it is a lot to ask, but our Mom has given so much for others that I hope the world can pitch in to step up and help her. She'd never ask for this help herself, but we are not too proud to beg for this help.
