<div>Friends of White’s Woods (FWW) needs your help to ensure that WWNC is managed and maintained for recreation, conservation, and historical preservation – the purposes of its acquisition under Project 70 funding.  Our mission is to protect the woods and to educate the public about the value of nature and the community forest.

<div>Over Thanksgiving we reflect on how grateful we are for the many wonderful people who have worked with us to protect the White’s Woods Nature Center.  Now, on Giving Tuesday, we need your generous donations to keep our work going strong into 2025.

<div>Here are two of our new 2025 projects for which we need your donation:

<div>•	The FWW children and young adult nature education program to be run in concert with the Indiana Free Library.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>•	Securing research consultants to assess the WWNC for endangered species, including the Indiana Bat and the flying squirrel.   Both the US Fish &amp; Wildlife Service and the Pennsylvania Game Commission have indicated that White’s Woods is within the range of the Indiana bat; we have evidence that flying squirrels are in the surrounding area.  We need to permanently protect these species AND their White’s Woods habitat.
