Libby's Garden at Mercy's Point

Donation protected
Let's build a garden! Our mother, Libby Roy, passed away on March 16th after a long struggle with seemingly every imaginable illness. Because of her love of art and nature--and particularly her love of sketching botanicals and wildlife--a Service Project through Buckhead Church has been established to honor her memory and her legacy of love. Libby’s Garden will create an environment where residents, staff, and families can spend time together in a peaceful, outdoor setting that enriches the daily life of people like our mother.

Our goal is simple and we need your help. Mercy’s Point is a small, cottage-style residence where our mother enjoyed one-on-one care and spiritual nourishment in a setting that felt like home. A Christ Centered Facility.
We want to improve the existing space by expanding the patio area, improving the green space, and making it more wheelchair and walker friendly. Your contributions will help us increase the garden footprint and improve outdoor seating and dining.  Among other changes, the pergola will be updated and we will plant several native, evergreen plantings and trees so that these ladies can enjoy the beautiful sunshine and proper bird watching.  We want to develop a green space where all can enjoy nature and fellowship.

Please contact me for any specific details of how you can help us achieve our goal.  We are planning a day of service to install all improvements and volunteers are welcome.

Thank you so much for your consideration and support in helping us honor our mother's legacy of love!
