Uganda Missions Trip

This year I have been approved to LEAD my very first mission trip to Uganda, Africa. I can’t explain how incredibly excited I am to even have this opportunity. Last year I went there as a co-leader and I completely fell in love. God has given me such a passion and a special love for this place. This will be one of my most challenging and faith testing experiences, and I couldn't be more excited to hit it head on!
As of now, I will be taking one other team member with me. We will be assisting an organization called African Hearts, from August 6, 2014 - August 20, 2014. This organization takes boys of all ages off the streets and provides them with food, clean water, housing, an education, life skills, love, affection, and a family. We will be helping with their school, slum project, prayer walks, evangelism, the local church, new village project, homework, painting, building, medical needs (in our scope of practice), chores, any office organization or needs and so much more. More than the physical needs of this organization, we want to provide a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and invest in their lives eternally for all of these boys and leaders of this organization. It is more than an orphanage, it’s a place they can call home and experience a family that loves them.
I have such a passion and a desire to be sent here, but I need your help in sending me to be able to share the Gospel and love of Jesus in Uganda, Africa! Before you decide on whether or not you can help, please prayerfully ask God HOW you can help. There are two ways you can help. One, you can give in prayer; I am definitely in need of prayer warriors for this trip! Two, you can give financially. There is no doubt I need funds. The total cost of the trip is $2800.00 and it is all due by July 20, 2014. Whether you are able to give in prayer or financially, know that you are not only giving to send me but you are investing in many other people’s eternity! :)
