Sweet Ginger Needs an Emergency Surgery

We found Ginger in Kansas City about 5 years ago trying to find food behind a dumpster. She was nearly hairless, had fleas and huge ticks everywhere, and was clearly abused as we couldn't get near her for awhile and she flinched at every move. She was limping and bleeding. We took her to a vet where they speculated that she was abused for breeding in a puppy mill. At that time the Vet did not do an Xray on her leg and thought her limp was a result of the abuse and neglect. We were told that she was not in pain so we just treated it as a part of who she was. She has been rejuvenated from an abused scared animal into the loving sweet Ginger that is a big part of our family. Unfortunately I wouldnt be typing this if that was the end of the story. 5 Years later her "kickin wing" as we have come to call it is definitely hurting her and is starting to swell. We took her to a different Vet and they immediately did an XRay. The Xray revealed that Ginger has had a dislocated hip this entire time and would require surgery and because of the length of time since the injury the procedure would be much more complex. We have spent the last 5 months trying to save the money but being so expensive the task has been daunting. With many set backs we are no closer to getting her the operation she needs and her leg is swollen to a disturbing degree. We searched for a Vet that would lend some help by allowing us to make payments but its just not happening. We have seen others receive the help they need by using GoFundMe and as a last ditch effort to get her the help that she deserves we have turned to this, to you, to ask that you help in any amount possible. We have a long way to go but with everyones help it can be done. She really is the most loving and caring dog any family could ask for and we just want to get her the help she needs.
