Helping hands for Tacloban
Helen and I (Jackie) have never met, but as colleagues on different sides of the Atlantic, we're working together to raise money to support people in need in and around Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda). Our aim is to get five families who are really struggling back on their feet and able to help themselves, and perhaps then help their friends and neighbours. I am visiting my family there at the end of June, Helen is going out in August. That way we can offer physical help as well as make sure that we're helping financially in the right place in the right way. We need your help to do this. Please.
Any amount will help - however big or small. We're also raising money in person, so if you'd rather do that, just give us a shout via the blog on this page: http://helpinghandsfortacloban.wordpress.com/money-raised-and-where-its-going/
