Diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas (DIPG) are highly aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumors found at the base of the brain. Less than two percent of children survive it. We are all praying he is in that less than 2 percent who survive. It was discovered when TJ failed an eye test. Most kids would get glasses. Then he started stumbling. Most would call this just clumsiness. Never would anyone have thought DIPG would be the diagnosis.
His whole family have stopped their lives, left their homes and jobs and are rallying around this sweet boy who is like any typical 8 year old boy. He loves to play and swim and his favorite characters are the Power Rangers but he loves all the superheros. He is the only son/grandson of my friend. The family have moved into the hotel next to the hospital indefinitely to be near TJ as he fights this battle.
The money raised here will be for the family to use for
medical bills, hotel, food and travel because TJ had to leave Illinois and is in St. Louis for treatment. Please find it in your hearts to help my friend and her family. AND PRAY, please pray for a miracle......he and his family need
prayers for TJ's health and his family's strength to deal with this.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I know TJ's family appreciates your help.
