A Deck for Don
On November 3, 2013 Don Fiolkoski suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage ~ as he will say, his brain exploded! He was in ICU for a month followed by rehab and finally came home on February 19, 2014. He is still in a wheelchair and does not have use of his right leg or right arm. His speech is good, though he now stutters a bit when he did not before. He is unable to work anymore, though creates beautiful artwork (see it at facebook/mylefthandart)
Prior to this Don was a funeral director and helped so many people through the roughest time of their lives, now he needs some help.
This page is in the hopes of raising enough money to build a deck so Don can go outside during the day. It’s the saddest thing to see him sitting in his chair at the back door looking out and being unable to go through the door.
With your help he will be able to go through the door!
We need to raise $7,000 to have a deck built and they can start the end of June and have it finished in time for Don’s 50th Birthday in July!

(any money over the total will go towards a pergola which will cost an additional $1,000 & then if we are really lucky, towards Don’s car as it will most likely have to be sold as his disability pay is not enough to cover the payments ~ he loves his car and it breaks his heart to have to sell it) (and it breaks my heart to see him in tears over it!)
