<div><strong>Charlie was born with penopubic epispadias, a rare congenital condition that has left him incontinent.</strong> Since he was just six months old, he has undergone three surgeries in hopes of correcting the issue, but unfortunately, none have been successful so far.

<div>Earlier this year, a specialist in Atlanta told us that Charlie’s only remaining option was a permanent catheter and closing off his bladder—something no parent wants to hear. Refusing to give up, we sought a second opinion at Boston Children’s Hospital. There, we were given renewed hope: doctors believe Charlie is a strong candidate for bladder neck reconstruction surgery, a procedure that could greatly improve his chances of staying dry and living a more typical, carefree childhood.
