Momma Made A Wish

For those of you who don't know, my mom Patricia (Pasty)Woodard was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer on 5/22/14. She has a tumor a little bigger than a baseball in her lung. It is pressing against her blood vessel and each day it makes it harder and harder for her body to provide her with the oxygen she needs. As a result her body face and arms are swollen from the pressure. We were devastated to learn that the doctor has given her a few months to 18-24 months left to live. She has spent her life (in her words) being a domestic engineer (and proud of it!) to 5 kids. She married the true love of her life, Woody in 1999 and gained 4 more kids. :) She has been a faithful volunteer at the Eagles Hall (non profit to provide help for cancer and abuse victims) for over 20 years where she was giving her infamous nickname "Pancake Patty". She became "mamma" when she started volunteering her time once a week in the snack shop of the youth center. There she served food and listened to teens share their stories to her. She began serving on the greeters team at Calvary Alameda. Her giving heart and warm personality welcomed new people to the church. She has always poured into others by making them laugh and feel loved. She's sacrificed for her kids and her kids friends. Her love has extended far beyond she will ever know. When asked what she would like to do with the time she has left she said spend time with her family. She's always wanted to take a trip Disneyland with all of the family. But she immediately shot it down stating it was too expensive. That's when the 3 of us sisters began putting our heads together. Now we need your help! We are planning a trip to Disneyland. We will be paying our own way but we would like to raise money to pay for Momma and Papa's trip. The $2k includes transpiration there, food, hotel (staying at the Disneyland Hotel), souvenirs, 3 day pass to Disney and California Adventures, plus each night with a special dinner just for her and Papa... (At the Blue Bayou..aka pirates of the Caribbean restaurant) We want to make this a magical trip for all of us to remember the greatest woman we know. :) Please help us make this happen. All money donated will go directly to Mom and Papa for this trip. Any money left over will go towards more trips for her, ie. Reno, Tahoe and Yosemite to name a few. Thank you sooo much!!
