In memory of Samuel Waterberg
Exceptional Leader, Amazing Soul, Great Human Being.
Samuel Bediako Waterberg was the CEO of People’s Pension Trust Ghana, an innovative award-winning pension fund, providing pension product for farmers, market women, small scale enterprises, the self-employed and those working in the informal economy. He impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in Ghana.
We had the immense privilege of knowing Samuel when he joined us in Luxembourg for a financial inclusion acceleration programme. His energy filled rooms, his personality motivated everyone around him and his kindness deeply touched the fintech community.
We were greatly saddened to learn about his death last week. Samuel is leaving behind a beloved wife, three children and a heartbroken community.
Through this fundraiser we hope to give a little support to his family.
He shall not be forgotten.
May he rest in peace.
May his legacy remind us of what each of us can achieve through work, energy, faith and love.
We will not forget.
