Help us!! We are looking to our community for support raising funds to aid with relief efforts to help the people of Puerto Rico.
A private foundation will match up to $25,000.00 for a total target goal of $50,000.00. All donated and matching funds will be donated to the Hispanic Federation who will invest 100% helping those in need in Puerto Rico.
Our heartfelt appreciation for anything you may be able to contribute to this effort. We are counting on you!
I am Sammy Berrios and am originally from San Juan, PR. After graduating from college, I joined the Air Force and upon discharge started working for my current employer for whom I have now worked for 35 years. I reside in the Dallas Ft Worth, TX area.
At my employer I chair our Hispanic Employee Resource Group, which is spearheading this fun raising effort. All collected funds, along with the match from the private foundation will be donated to the Hispanic Federation to be used in Puerto Rico relief efforts.
The Hispanic Federation will dedicate 100% of funds to help areas in Puerto Rico that are being less served by current relief efforts. This organziation has been "boots in the ground" since the storm hit and is committed not only to relief efforts, but also to assist with developing self sustaining solutions for Puerto Rico moving forward.
Once the campaign is completed collected funds will be sent directly from the Go Fund Me account to the Hispanic Federation.
