zahara Needs Your Help.

Zahara Kiblawi was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) when she was five months old. Now two years old, she's had a surgery for every year of life. Zahara has Shunt behind her ear to drain the fluids that build up because of her condition, and this leaves her vulnerable to frequent infections, which can land her in the hospital for week at time. Zahara's journey has only just begun, in her fight to stay alive, she's facing multiple surgeries, years of physical therapy, and special glasses that need to be replaced every few months for this baby girl. To walk with the help of her walker, she needs special shoes that cost $200 a pair, and you know how fast toddles outgrow their shoes! Zahara not yet begun to talk, and goes to speech therapy twice a week. Her support team includes a neurologist, multiple pediatricians, speeches therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapists, and many more. Zahara parents tried for four years to have a child, and were finally blessed with this beautiful baby girl. Her dad Michael, works two jobs, in a factory and at a restaurant, and despite the hours he spends supporting his family, neither of his jobs offers health insurance. Her Mom Azzie, is Zahara's full time caregiver, and spends her days taking Zahara from doctor to doctor in order to try to save her daughter's life. Recently, Michael was hit by drunk driver, and although he escaped with only broken arm, it left him unable to work. In her short life, Zahara has overcome insurmountable obstacles, and she has a long road in front of her.
