The Smith Family

Hi, I'm Carissa and I have created this fundraiser to help the Smith family as they navigate Savannah's meningitis diagnosis.

On July 26th, Savannah began experiencing intense migraines that landed her in the ER 4 times in 2 days. After numerous tests, the doctors could not figure out what was wrong and admitted her for further testing.

On July 28th, Savannah and her mother Stephanie were transported via ambulance to John Muir where Savannah has been in the PICU ever since.

Eventually, it was discovered that Savannah had viral meningitis. A care plan was created with the hope of her being discharged a few days later.

Unfortunately, the treatment has not gone as planned and Savannah will be in the hospital for an unforeseen amount of time.

Savannah's mother has been staying in the hospital with her, which means she is unable to work either of her jobs. This loss in income has been devastating for the family.

If you are able, the Smith family would greatly appreciate any help during this uncertain time. Any donation will help relieve some of their financial stress and allow them to solely focus on Savannah's healing.
