Hello friends!
Matt and I are so excited to be able to follow God’s voice to Welkom, South Africa for three months. We are SO excited!
Restoring Hope International was started about 7 years ago and is now loving, educating and raising 14 children within their walls and showing them the truth of Jesus! For the last year, my sister-in-law has been living at Restoring Hope Village in Welkom, pretty much doing whatever is needed. Whether it's running errands, being a “house mama” while the regular ones need time off, playing outside or helping with homework, I have watched Abby fall in love with these God-given kids. They are literally saving these precious lives from our broken and sin filled world and bringing the kingdom of God in a major way there in Welkom! We want to see first-hand and help this amazing work of the Lord in as many ways as we can in such a short time! We want to pray for, encourage, and love the people of Welkom, including the missionaries who are giving their lives We also want to help with any big projects needed. We are trusting and believing that God is/will provide in crazy ways for this next adventure He’s calling us on! Now here’s the part I’ve NEVER done before, but I believe the Holy Spirit shows people when and what to give to. So here it goes: we currently are paying our own way to go, but felt like we could give opportunity for people to help support the trip. The expenses for this trip are our plane tickets and cost of living. But another goal that’s on our hearts is to bring a few luxury, (American) fun things for the kids and useful things for RHI when we go! Things like Barbie clothes and sidewalk chalk to a gym parachute and projector, these are items highly useful and fun, that would be such a blessing. So what we would ask is if the Holy Spirit is speaking to you to help, you can donate here and we will be so thankful and excited to see God using people around us to support Matt and I and this awesome organization! Between the tickets and cost of living, plus things we want to bless the kids with, it will cost over $7,000 but God has already provided funds in crazy ways and we only have $2,400 left to raise and we want to watch Him continue to provide! We are so excited for this adventure and would love your prayers to continue hearing God’s voice and leading for what He wants us to do! Thanks friends, we are so thankful for you!
