Krymson's surgery

Thank you for taking the time to read this. My daughter Krymson has to have surgery on her foot in late August. She was born with club foot. She spent her first two years in braces or casts trying to correct the problem. She had her first surgery when she was 6 months old. At age 3 we were lucky enough to go to Ohio to meet with the world famous club foot doctor to repair her foot. After serial casting and more braces her foot was doing much better. Over time she has begun to relapse. We recently found a Doctor through Shriners hospital that agreed to see her for free. After his assessment he has decided she needs to have surgery. He works at Shriners Hospital in Los Angeles. Her pre-op appointment will be on a Thursday or Friday and her surgery will be on Monday. We are hoping we will be lucky enough to stay at the Ronald McDonald house during this time which will cost us $25 a day. However, we won't know for sure until the day of arrival. So, we need to have a backup plan, which would put us at a local hotel next to the hospital. My car is not in good shape so I was hoping to rent a car for the trip to keep us all safe. We also need to cover the cost for 3 of us to eat for almost a week. I have been needing glasses for a couple years and when driving during the day around town where I am familiar I have been ok. But driving long distance, in an unfamiliar area and possibly at night I really need my eye exam and glasses prior to the trip. We have a couple hundred saved from taxes which would go to Krymson's new school supplies like clothes etc. We will know be using this for the trip and combining this trip as part of her Birthday present. Over the weekend, before her surgery, I would like to take her to the Hollywood walk of stars and a few other tourist attractions before she is unable to walk for 6 weeks. Unfortunately she will be starting her 4th grade school year using a walker to get around. I will be updating this as I get more details on dates and costs for this trip.
