Hattie and Louise Fund

Donation protected
I found two stray female pups on May 23rd who I have named Hattie and Louise. They are both very malnourished. Took them to my vet's office at Walnut Grove Animal Clinic for a check-up and the wonderful Dr. Slattery checked them out. He thinks Hattie is about 1-2 years old. She has an ear infection in both ears, a bladder infection and intestnial parasites but is otherwise healthy. She just needs to put on weight. Little Louise is about 4 months old and has a skin infection that is being treated with antibiotics. Dr. Slattery noticed there was "something" in  Louise's belly. He took an x-ray and she had eaten quite a few large chicken and pork bones and needed surgery to have them removed or else she would  die. Dr. Slattery and his vet tech, Stephanie and the receptionist, Joyce, kindly stayed after hours on Friday and did the surgery so that I would not have to pay three times the money at the Emergency Vet. It is still going to be very expensive, I will know the exact amount on Tuesday. Louise is recovering at the Emergency Vet and should be able to go home later today. Several friends have offered to donate to the surgery fund so if you would like to donate, you can do so here. Any amount is appreciated. Little Louise and the Stuarts will be very grateful. Thank you! If I raise more money than is needed, I will be donating the rest to Walnut Grove Animal Clinic and Streetdog Foundation.
 UPDATE:
Louise had to have another surgery because she was not recovering. The vet was concerned that he had left some bones inside so he was going to do the surgery at no cost but when he opened her up, he found that she had a rare disorder called Intussusception. It's where the intestines bascially slide or telescope into themselves cutting off blood supply and she was unable to digest food and her intestines were dying. He removed 18 inches of her intestine! He had never seen this in person, he had only heard about it. He did end up charging me for the surgery which I feel is fair because it was very serious and aggressive but he deeply discounted it to help me out but the vet bill for both surgeries was $2,000. Her recovery at the emeregncy vet was over $1,200. I have raised the goal to help cover these costs. This has been overwhelming finanically but Louise is doing well and Hattie is doing well and it's all going to be worth it. I will be forever grateful to each and every one of you for every dollar donated and I thank you for supporting me in rescuing these two. It's wonderful to know that there are so many kind and generous people out there. Thank you again for your support.
