Chiari surgery

Hi my name is Susan. I'm trying to raise money for my 19 year old daughter to have surgery for chiari malformation type 1. She has a nearly 3 year old child and we would like to help her raise the money needed to give her a long and happy life 

Abit of back story......

Geri is 19 years old and just over a year ago she started feeling unwell. We had many trips to the doctors and a&e with no answers. She was having numbness and weakness in her arms and legs and headaches and neck pains to name but a few of the issues. After months of trying we finally got an mri. She was told she had a small swelling at the base of her skull but it was "normal" it was very far from normal. Another trip to a&e and finally a diagnosis of chiari malformation. What is chiari malformation?? Well it's where the cerabellum (base of the brain) is forced downwards towards the spinal cord and puts pressure on it causing many issues. It is incurable but there are options to help with this. On the NHS there is only a very invasive operation which removes part of the skull to relieve the pressure although sadly it doesn't really help to much. However we have now found a private surgery in Barcelona Spain. It's not as invasive and stops progression of the disease and also means she can go on to live a fairly normal life without risk of sudden death from her chiari.
