UPDATE!!!
We are a few days into our trip and the donations have come in great use. We have noticed that many of the donation recipients are in need of deoderant and other hygiene supplies. We are going to be using fund money for purchasing those items as well as our other expenses.
The outcry of support we have received is absolutely incredible, and we are so thankful for everything you guys have done for us.

According to a study, 40% of all homeless people are families of homeless people. Stop what you are doing, and read that again. 4 out of every ten. This staggering number is what drives me to want to make change.
This summer, two friends and I decided to have our own version of "studying abroad", so we came up with a plan to benefit the homeless while we drive to the Grand Canyon and back in a minivan.
We have been collecting clothes and shoes for distribution to homeless people across the country. We are also going to be giving free haircuts in order to help prepare them for the workforce.
We are all ecstatic about our trip and cannot wait to help some people in need. If we can spark some change in at least one person, then we've done our job.
This trip is dedicated to Mom-mom. You greeted me with open arms and an open heart and you will be in everyone's hearts forever.
