Most our family and close friends know. On 10/10/19 we took C to the ER for uncontrollable breast pain, and were informed that she had a tumor 17*15*14 cm large in her left breast in the one o'clock position.
We currently do not have health insurance, and we were turned away by one oncologist due to that, we found a clinic that has been treating the situation to an extent. Very slow going and very expensive...
Fast forward 12/2/19 C woke up in more pain, in a different area, with a rash on her breast. We decided we would wait till our following appointment to address the situation. 12/3/19 C woke up at 11:30 to bleeding and a rash covering a large portion of her breast. We returned to the ER and were informed again that she is displaying all the symptoms of Inflammatory breast cancer, a particularly aggressive and difficult to treat type of cancer that isn't typically detectable via mammogram or ultrasound.
12/4/19 we were called by the radiology department from the hospital ER we were seen at the night before and asked to come in as soon as possible. We arrive to news that the tumor was significantly larger (22*15*14), and that we needed to seek care as soon as possible, due to the rapid progression.
We are paying for appointments, hospital visits, medications and imaging out of pocket.
After tomorrows appointment we do plan on contacting the Cancer Centers of America to seek help. But right now our plates are full emotionally and financially. I will need to take even more time off of work and we will need to seek daycare/or home care for Raelyn.
We appreciate all the love support and prayers we've received. We apologize to those we haven't responded to but right now we are just trying to pick up the pieces and our hearts.
We will make sure to update everyone as time goes on.
