Braille Literacy Summer Progam - Georgia
Tax deductible
Dear Family and Friends,
I am reaching out to you as the State Coordinator for the 2014 National Federation of the Blind of Georgia (NFBGA) BELL program which will be held from July 7 – 18th. The Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL) is a two week program held annually in summer for blind children between the ages of 5 – 12. This fun and creative program is designed to further develop braille literacy among these children.
Did you know that very few blind children receive Braille instruction for one reason or another and almost 85% of blind children are Braille illiterate? With your support we can help to improve literacy in a fun and impactful way. Your support will help to fund braille books, braille paper, certified teachers for the visually impaired, a small volunteer stipend, meals, experienced based field trips and transportation.
Please visit https://nfb.org/bell-program to learn more about the NFB and the Bell Program.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
With Gratitude,
Hayley Alli
