<div>Hello everyone, I am fundraising for my best friend of over 30 years, Jill Breslin. A few months ago, after a routine mammogram and follow-up MRI and biopsy, Jill received the devastating news that she has breast cancer. Subsequent CT and PET scans unfortunately revealed that the cancer had spread to several bones, resulting in a diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. This news came as a complete shock, as Jill had no symptoms prior to her diagnosis and was living a very active life as a doting mom to her loving 6-year-old daughter and wife to her husband.

<div>Jill’s treatment journey will be very long and challenging. But anyone who knows Jill knows that she is a fighter who has overcome and achieved a lot in her life. She is bringing this same fight and mental fortitude to her cancer battle, but she needs support. A big part of the challenge is the financial strain on Jill and her family. While Jill has medical insurance, she has already confronted thousands of dollars in medical copays, and her future medical bills and treatment-related costs will be long, unpredictable and expensive. This will be compounded by lost income due to her limited ability to work during treatment and the additional childcare costs that inevitably come with this life-changing diagnosis.
