Hello everyone!
As some of you may know, I am currently studying to become a Family Nurse Practitioner and this summer I have been invited to be able to put my skills to use! This summer I am traveling to Panama with Samuel Merritt University to provide health care services to people who have poor access. We will be working with an organization called, "Hands for Americas" to set up clinics and provide much needed medical attention to the people in the city of Batata. The trip will be from August 15-22 and, with your help, we will make a whole world of difference in these peoples' lives.
Here is where you come in. As a student, I am in need of raising the necessary funds in order to reach these people. The $2000 needed before July 14 will be able to cover all in-country fees as well as transportation to and from Panama, and all necessary immunizations (ouch!). Additionally, some of you may know that I am also a musician who recreationally puts up youtube videos from time to time. I decided to offer some music-related perks for donating in hopes that it would make it fun for the both of us! (If you want to see a sample first, you can find me at youtube.com/xticklesmilex) These donation levels are just a fun perk, but really any contribution helps.
If a monetary contribution is not feasible right now, I completely understand and appreciate you just the same. Here are other ways you can help:
- If you know of any companies willing to donate medications and vitamins, we need lots of donations! Especially adult multivitamins.
- Share this page or facebook post! It's entirely free and incredibly helpful!
- Do something nice for someone today =D
