SHANNON CAREY-VALOTTA & FAMILY

Donation protected
Shannon Carey-Valotta will celebrate her 37th birthday tomorrow and will do so in the confines of a room within an inpatient hospice facility.

Shannon was diagnosed three years ago with stage four ovarian cancer. She did not utter one word of complaint, nor did she ask the question, “why me?” She strode forward with courage, determination, and dignity and fought the fight of a lifetime against the disease that ravaged her body.

Shannon had one mission, and it was to live. Her desire and will to live and to be present in her husband’s and sons’ lives enabled her to withstand numerous rounds of chemotherapy and surgeries.

While undergoing extensive medical treatment, Shannon was unable to work and incurred extraordinary medical bills. Fundraising events organized by her close friends only offset these tremendous expenses minimally.

As she looks to celebrate what will likely be her last birthday tomorrow, Shannon’s most immediate concern is for the well-being and care of her children.

There is urgent need for funds to provide Shannon with a funeral and proper burial, and funds within her family are very limited. There is also need for financial support for Shannon’s children.

Please honor this woman’s fight against cancer and give her the ultimate birthday gift by contributing to her GoFundMe account.
