Help Frankie and his Family

Dear friends,

This is Frankie, an 8yr old Boston Terrier. He was adopted by my friend Amy and her family when he was just 2yrs but already had a bit of a dark cloud over his head. Despite being the sweetest, most lovable guy, he had already been passed along by two to three families even with a stint in the local pound. Thankfully though, Frankie has enjoyed a loving home with two other Boston Terriers and a Tuxedo Cat for the past six years.

While playing on the evening of August 5, 2021, Frankie jumped to catch a toy and landed incorrectly, fracturing his tibia. As many of you know, the sound of an injured animal is horrific, and Frankie was in agony. Amy rushed him to an emergency vet only to find out the diagnosis and that he also has an undiagnosed heart condition. Thankfully he was able to undergo surgery, receiving plates and screws in his leg, and is currently on a long road to recovery but the vet bills are in excess of $6,000.

Some of you may know Amy and the work she's done around Del Ray. Like many families, they too have been affected by severely affected by COVID and loss of income. At this time would you please consider helping this local Del Ray family and their precious Frankie with some of these expenses?

As of right now Frankie made it through his surgery successfully- he has a plate/wire/screws in his rear right leg and will be in a splint for 8 weeks. Thank you for all of your concern and support
