Saldivar Family

The Saldivar Tribe is a family of the most kindhearted individuals so many of us have had the pleasure of meeting, calling friends, and  most even have the honor of being apart of their family.
On August 7th, while on their way to a family getaway Miguel lost feeling in his right arm and had a burning sensation on the right side of his head. After a trip to the hospital the doctor had concluded that Miguel had not suffered a stroke rather he had very high blood pressure and he soon regained feeling in his arm and hand. However, Miguel and his family were at dinner while on their way home from the family getaway when Miguel felt the same burning sensation. It started on the back right side of his head and he suddenly felt the loss of sensation on the right side of his body. He quickly tried his best to get to their family van as his wife, Katie, and his father gather the kids and rushed him to the nearest hospital, because he had suffered a stroke. During his stay a team of nurses and therapists help Miguel get his breathing under control, caused by spasms creating painful hiccups, and learn basic motor skills again. His family was there with him through it all.
Miguel worked very hard throughout the next couple of weeks and soon was discharged! 
This is when his rehabilitation jumped into high gear and Miguel started making huge strides!
Unfortunately, Miguel suffered another stroke last last week.
Although this stroke couldn't knock him as far back as the first one did, this is still not what he, his wife, or his family needed or wanted. Miguel didn't let this stop him. He was back on his feet instantly working hard on his recovery and was  discharged after a few days.
After being discharged the family came home to water damage. Water came up through the floors ruining the floors and carpet. 

So many of us are just so saddened by the series of unfortunate events that have occurred. Katie and Miguel have done so much for our family and so many of you can attest to this. It is time for us to do something for this wonderful family.
