“Update on Help feed Habaneros Staff”
Christine, Tadd and the entire Habaneros team would like to thank those who have shared or donated to our page, to assist our staff in these difficult times.
We are pleased to have reached a third of our goal, and the donations have helped cover basic household expenses throughout June and July. We have at least three months ahead of low season/storm season and the ongoing challenges due to Covid 19.
Contrary to media reports, tourism is not recovering, and in spite of everyone doing their best to do their part, using masks and following protocol we´ve had an increase of Covid cases in Baja Sur.
However, without any support from the federal government, it´s been up to us to find ways to continue to meet the needs of our staff and their families. Rent, electricity and water bills must be paid, and it´s hard to cover these expenses and still put food on the table.
This is a final appeal for help. We´ll run the Go Fund Me until the end of August, hoping that supporters will find it in their hearts to share the page, or to donate if able. No amount is too small.
Our staff members appreciate the support that the community has shown, and would be grateful for continued assistance.
“It is greater to give than receive” Thank you all
