For Emily

I'm writing this for two people that are very meaningful in my life, and the lives of many others, Emily Wheeler and her husband, Andrew. For the past few years, Emily has been engaged in the fight for her life against the ruthless onslaught of cancer. This particular aggressor is stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized and spread throughout her body, including her liver, and has required equally aggressive treatment. The strength and character that Emily has maintained throughout this journey have been an inspiration to many, and she has the love and support of people across the globe. Andrew too has been by her side, and that is where he'll stay. It has cut into his ability to travel for work, but being there for his buddy takes top priority. As the treatments have progressed, increasing in number and complexity, so have the medical bills. With no income coming in, they are starting to really add up, and are currently between $70,000-$100,000. I am asking anyone that reads this, and anyone that has been touched by the generosity and friendship of Emily and Andrew, to help ease the monetary burden they are finding themselves under.
