Hi, I created this account for a very special guy, Dakota Comeaux. Dakota is a 2014 graduate of LAHS in Lake Arthur, La.. Our dear friend was involved in a very serious and tragic vehicle accident in the early morning hours following his graduation earlier this week. He has suffered moderate to severe injuries, including a fractured neck, commonly known as a "broken neck". Dakota is currently recovering from a very recent surgery he needed to have to stabilize his neck and to relieve any pressure on his spinal cord.
God has a plan for us all and by the grace of God, Dakota's life was spared that early morning, for this we praise HIS Holy name !
Dakota is not only my friend, but is a very dear friend to many including our whole student body. He would never expect or ask of anything from anyone but he is always willing to be the first to offer help to others. I am now asking on his behalf for all of your help and generosity. Please consider making a donation, however small or large to help defray some of the medical expenses that are increasingly mounting each day and will exceed the private insurance portion.
Hopefully this will help relieve some of their stresses, worries & financial burdens they are facing. This will also allow them to focus more on meeting Dakota's daily care & needs. If you are unable to give a monetary donation at this time, then please give the "gift" of prayer. It will cost you nothing but a very small amount of your time. Remember to extend this gift by keeping his parents, siblings, family, friends & our community in your constant thoughts & prayers! We have all been deeply affected by this tragedy. Prayer is such a powerful & unselfish gift that can be given or received by any or all! This gift is appreciated just as much as a dollar.
I have learned that people, especially within our very own community, will always come together and are more than willing to give generously when a tragedy strikes. This has been true and proven many many times before. I ask that we all come together again to show our love & support for this family.
