Gail Stroud's Courageous Battle

Donation protected
As you all may or may not know, my mother, Gail Stroud, was recently diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer to the left lung, stage IV. This came as a shock to all of us as it came on so suddenly. She started out coughing in the winter months and was told she had pneumonia. When the cough didn't clear, she pressed the doctor for more testing. A CT scan revealed a mass in her left lung. She quickly went to the Sansom Clinic in Santa Barbara where the diagnosis was made. So far, she has undergone 1 chemo session with 7 more scheduled. She has private insurance with an out pocket maximum of $ 7000.00 before insurance will cover 100%. Each of her chemo treatments costs $750.00, which she must pay the day of treatment. She has also had some nausea along the way, but the meds that work for her nausea are not covered by her insurance, creating yet another out of pocket expense. This diagnosis is a shock to us all as she has never smoked. Through this process we have learned lung cancer is not always caused by smoking. If there is anyway you could help her, it would be greatly appreciated. She is loved by many. Please continue to keep her and my family in your prayers daily for a recovery from this horrible disease that could strike any of us at any moment. God is our great physician and we have faith the God will take care of this!
