Toys4Autism

This is our 5th year raising funds for the autistic community of Staten Island, N.Y. Our first year we gave out about 200 toy gift bags at PS 37. Our second year, Toys 4 Autism distributed over 500 toy gift bags at 4 different events. All were given to developmentally disabled children. Our third year, we distributed 350 gift bags at a holiday party for 'Lifestyles for the Disabled' These gift bags included an MP3 personal music player, loaded with 500 songs and 60 videos, each one also had an FM radio.  This past holiday season was challenging. With the virus many schools and programs were not having any holiday events. We were able to do two small events at PS 25 Mount Loretto, a Halloween event for Lifestyles and a bigger Christmas event at "Lifestyles" which we gave out about 200 giftbags. 2020 giveaway had a super gameboy loaded with 400 video games.  2021 will be our fifth year and I have picked two items that we will buy for this coming year. All toys are selected to help these people with stress, anxiety and coping skills. (plus we have some gameboys left over from last years toy drive)
