David Marshall was a victim of a very freak car accident . Through no fault of his own , he was hit head -on sitting in his driveway 5 seconds from his front door on Nov 20, 2013. He is paralyzed from his neck down. He went from a very healthy, active person to a quadripalegic . David spent 40 years as an educator and friend always doing for others and never expecting anything in return-just ask his many students, employees and friends!! The costs of his care is falling completely on him and his family as the other driver had limited insurance and there will be no settlement. David's insurance will not cover many major expenses. He will need a special
bed, ($35,000.00) a wheelchair accessable van, special housing for the disabled, 24 hour nursing care, medical airplane transport to another facility not to mention the ongoing therapies and need for 24 hour personal care-givers. Not only has this been a tragic physical and emotional trajedy, it has been financially devastating as well. Please help as you can. He would never ask for help himself, as he always worked hard through adversity. David has been a generous part of his community his whole life, willing to drop everything to go help a student, employee, faculty member, friend or stranger!! .It's time to pay it forward.
