Austin Hingey's Legal Defense Fund

Many of you know Austin through his presence and participation in the community. He began swing dancing when he was about 20 years old and later would teach lessons around Tulsa. He has volunteered at the Tulsa Hub for the past several years teaching bicycle safety to school-aged children, and has marshalled the Bike for a Life rides that are hosted by Global Gardens. Last year he sold eggs and vegetables at the Pearl Farmer's Market. Another recent project (that is now on hold) was remodeling a house in the Pearl District to function as a catering kitchen that could also house an artist and serve as a gallery for their work and would also have a community garden in the back, if you know Austin you know his imagination is unlimited!

This man is not a "drug kingpin" as the authorities are painting him to be and he is not violent. If you have met him then you know for yourself that he is a kind, smiling soul. Austin has always supported the community that he lives in and now he is asking for the support of the community. The charges he is facing carry a sentence of 2 years to life in prison. Proper legal defense is imperative to keep him out of prison. If you feel compelled to donate please do so, no amount is too small.
