Ziggy Donations still needs your help!!
We are a success story if you have ever seen one!! Our Ziggy was able to come home!! His fight is not over as he has 8 weeks of healing ahead of him. He has had some really great people take excellent care of him first response to our Ziggy’s getting hit by a car within 20 min. our local vet respond on a Sunday was Companion Animal Veterinary Clinic, Inc. https://www.facebook.com/CompanionAnimalVeterinaryClinicInc ; after they did all they could we had to transport him 2 hours away to MSU http://cvm.msu.edu/departments/small-animal-clinical-sciences they took him like he was their own Doggy with love and caring hearts. He was in pretty bad shape when we got him to the hospital. They did a series of tests on him to make sure it was not life threating injuries and determine what the best plan of action was. They found that he had broken his pelvic bone in three places along with his tail bone. At this point our cost was to be determined by the type of surgery he would need to fix the problems; we started out at a $3500 estimate. With the swelling being so much they waited a few days to do the surgery to see if they could do a less invasive surgery. That was a good choice as the swelling did go down and they went ahead with the surgery.
The bill was at this point almost $6000.00, with the help of our fabulous Doctor, Dr. Déjardin they were able to reduce our bill with his own donations to cutting his side of the bill to almost nothing and the help from a wonderful donation fund called The Lucky Fund http://cvm.msu.edu/hospital/giving-donations/lucky-fund-for-needy-animals We ask that you share there link and donate what you can when you can. We are not asking for anyone to have a hardship to donate. We ask that you remember if you help someone today and maybe you will need help some day and someone can do the same for you “pay it forward”.
