Keep Children of Nepal Learning
Donation protected
We need your help to ensure we can reach as many children in Nepal so that every child has access to an education. You can do this for as little as £6.00! The recent pandemic has caused problems in education all around the world, with schools having to adapt to ensure children can keep on learning.
Nepal has at least 1.5million children that do not have access to alternative sources of education such as the internet, TV and radio and due to a serious months-long lockdown these children currently do not have access to an education.
Many Nepali organisations big and small are mobilising resources in addition to the government trying to respond. But the need is huge and at the end of the day, there will be thousands of children left unserved that have no means to continue their education without support. We as a collective of people working and living in Nepal find that unacceptable and so have decided we will start preparing as many additional packs as we can, every child served is one less child that drops out of school.
So this is where you come in! If you are able to donate just £6.00 then you can provide a teaching package for a child. This package contains:
Pack of colouring pencils x1
Ruler x1
Rubbers x3
Workbook
Pencils x4
Pencil case x1
This package will be delivered in a cloth bag (acting as a rucksack) to the child's family with information to the parents about child safety and wellbeing. The school will also check-in with the children to see how they're getting on! (This phone credit is also included in your package donation).
But you can help even more! If you can get together with a couple of friends or family members then you can sponsor an entire class for just £140.
And perhaps within your organisation, school or community you could raise £925 which would provide an entire school with teaching packages for every child.
Through this fundraiser, we want to try and make sure 5,000 children across Nepal will not lose the chance to an education and a future.
Whilst we understand it's a difficult and troubling time for us all, every little bit really does make the world of difference to these children's lives.
On behalf of the children in Nepal, Namaste and thank you!
