Help Jeau Allen defeat breast cancer!

Jeau Allen was diagnosed with breast cancer in April. We're collecting donations to offset the medical costs from her initial diagnostics through surgery and radiation oncology. She will also incur expenses for transportation to the cancer center for daily radiation treatments throughout Summer 2014 (a 120 mile round trip from home), and related out-of-pocket medical and living expenses. We conservatively estimate these expenses to be about $8,500.
Many people know Jeau from farmers' markets and community events in Tucson and rural Baja Arizona. An avid "Seed Sleuth" (Aravaipa Heirlooms, The San Pedro Seed Exchange), she's ensured that hundreds of endangered and dryland-adapted heirloom plant varieties have gotten established in Southern Arizona farms and gardens. She has also introduced thousands of people to the Sonoran Desert's unique flavors of prickly pear and saguaro cactus (Prickly Pops) and native mesquite flour (The Mesquitery).
