Our mission:
to provide healthy, clean, and fresh water in rural villages in Morocco by building safe and accessible potable water wells.
Who are we?
We are Mouna and Mandy, and we are two Canadians who met at a personal growth workshop (PSI Basic Seminars) and connected over our passion to see everyone in the world having their basic needs like clean water met.
Why are we doing this?
Water is an essential element to sustain life. This is a straightforward project for a straightforward need.
Mouna's family is from Morocco, and we decided that it will be a great place to start as we have local contacts who understand where and who needs this first well the most. We are also providing jobs to local construction workers and well-makers.
This is our first trial of a lifelong mission and we want you to be part of it.
Why Morocco?
Currently the statistics in World Bank shows that over 86% of people in rural areas in Morocco do not have access to clean water.

What will the money be for?
We've done the research and this is the breakdown for the equipment/material/labour:
Well materials and equipment: $1000
Labour: $600
Security cover: $350
1000L reservoir: $500
Water tank: $300
Misc: Plumbing, hoses , faucets, filters, etc: $550
Transportation: $400
Water piping: $1100
TOTAL: $ 4800

Why would you want to help?
With your help and contribution we can change the future starting today and WE CAN provide thousands of families and children the access to drinkable water. Together we unite to build 1 well @ a time.
We are not aiming to just go into Morocco without a plan, build a well, and leave. This is a sustainable solution, with us working with the locals before we go, including a local Rotary club, and local villagers. We will understand their needs, work alongside them to fund the materials/equipment that will help them the most, and also continue working with the locals to maintain the well.
The building of this well will allow these children to go to school instead of walking for hours to get water supplies on a daily basis. Just imagine the endless benefits of having clean water and of what your kind gesture can generate in the world. Your donations are much appreciated and will be of great impact to help many lives.
We are planning to build the first well in April 2015 and will continue to update this website on our progress so that you will see exactly where your money is going and what it has accomplished.
