My name is Anita Cuca and I migrated from Bosnia at the age of 6 in 1995. My husband Goran also migrated from Serbia in 1995 at the age of 10. My husband and I have set this page up in hope of raising awareness and obtaining donations for our people back home who have been affected by the catastrophic floods that have swept much of the Balkans.
The death toll is rising daily as a result of what many call the “worst flood seen in 1,000 years” and thousands upon thousands of people have been displaced and lost their homes. The damage to infrastructure, power supply, agriculture and the human impact will be in the Billions of Euros.
We are pleading with you all to donate as much as reasonably possible to help our people back home. Whether it’d be $1 or $1000, no donation is too small and please understand that EVERY dollar counts. God has displaced my wife and me away from our birth country, like millions of others, but when God takes God gives. We are so blessed to live in this beautiful country and Australia has given us all a second chance at life. We know we are so fortunate and count our blessings every day! We try and support as much as we possibly can, people from all around the world, who are less fortunate and right now we feel that it’s our duty to give back to our people and rally support from people such as you who are reading this message to find the kindness and love in your heart to donate and make a difference in these difficult times.
We must remember that this immediate effect, whilst catastrophic will pass and the waters will recede. However, what remains after the water has receded will be our biggest challenge. The priceless loss of human life will be met by the billions of dollars that will take to re-build our countries.
This donation page has been directly linked with the NOVAK DJOKOVIC Foundation and all proceeds will be directly deposited to the Foundation (minus the fees, please see below) with every cent documented. We created this page in an attempt to reach a wider audience and bring awareness beyond our respective communities and plead with all Australians, irrespective of race, colour or religion to dig deep and help their fellow human beings in these dire times.
We kindly ask, if you are able to please donate and spread this message to whomever you can so, that we can communally try and ease the ongoing pain of our people. May God Bless us all and especially our people back home.

It is unfortunate that 8% is taken in fees, but we feel it's important to clearly outline these so people can make informed decisions.
