Sending Javier home

On Wednesday 12/09/20 my kids grandfather Javier was admitted to the ICU just 30 short minutes from being brought into St. Mary’s emergency room! His son and I brought him in due to him having a difficult time breathing. The first doctor to call said he is using 100% and if he doesn’t improve in a few days we might have to turn to intubating him. The next doctor to call a hour and a half later said his body is not responding to the breathing therapy and they have to intubate! On Friday 12/11/20 they tried to ween him off the sedation medication to see if he is able to start breathing on his own, his body did not respond well so they had to put him back on 100% oxygen. He does not have much family here in Minnesota and the doctors are saying he will have to be on certain medications after he is discharged he hasn’t been working and won’t be able to work for quite a while since he needs to let his body heal! He does not have health insurance so every day he has to spend in the hospital is a rising medical bill , ANYTHING helps and we very much appreciate it!
