CrossFit Townsville is represented by Tropic Thunder at the Australian CrossFit Regional competition. This team is made up of the following athletes:
Bryce Knight - Bryce is a full time coach at CFTSV
Jordon Piggott - JP is a full time university student and part time coach at CFTSV
Nick Reece - Nick is a serving member of the Australian Army
Kate Wade - Kate is a full time firefighter and part time coach at CFTSV
Alahna Marshall - Alahna is a high school teacher
Melissa Hill - Mell is a serving member of the Australian Air Force
After a strong performance at the regionals competition, Tropic Thunder finished in 3rd place, securing their position to compete at the World CrossFit Games in California in July.
Tropic thunder would like to thank all our supporters who have helped us on our journey so far. The CFTSV community is awesome and we could not have made it to where we are without the box behind us. Our team competitors are not full time athletes, they all have other full time jobs or studies. Tropic Thunder at this time has no corporate sponsors. All expenses relating to competition are paid for by the individual athlete.
Each of our athletes are now saving for their trip to The Games. We have set up this page to try and fundraise some of the costs involved with travel and accomodation to get to the Games in California. Any contribution large or small will be gratefully accepted and help us on our way to competing against the best teams in the world!
